S7-300 Upgradation

Saradhi Posts: 303 Rating: (3)	Dear All, I have 300 plc order number is 6ES7313-5BE01-0AB0. Which is having the woek memory of 32KB. In my hardware catalog i have an update for 313C having order number 6ES7313-5BG04-0AB0 and having the work memory of 128KB. If i change my hardware coniguration from '6ES7313-5BE01-0AB0' to '6ES7313-5BG04-0AB0'. is my plc will support 128KB work memory. I have siemens memory card of 512KB.

Kahl Platinum Member Joined: 12/16/2012 Last visit: 9/11/2023 Posts: 646 Rating: (126)	Hi! It is recommended to use the newest FW for a CPU, but the size of the work memory won't change with a firmware upgrade. You need a hardware upgrade for that (new CPU).
