S7-300 without MMC

If you opened the CA01 Mall, you will found the following statement in the over view of each CPU: Micro memory card required for operation of CPU. And also the CPU won't go to run mode if the MMC is not inserted into its bay. From several years, there was memory cards for S7-300 CPUs. Which was bigger in mechanical size than MMC. And also there was a bay to accomodate a battery. So, in these days, it was possible to operate the CPU without the memory card. Best regards,
