ralphtang Posts: 33 Rating: (1)	Hi All, I have a S7 PLC with 314 CPU which is only MPI interface. in runtime it is connected to a TP207 screen. How can I link my laptop to PLC without terminate the communication betweenPLC and TP207?

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, it is true you can either use a PROFIBUS Plug with PG Interface or you use another PROFIBUS Plug in between the two Nodes, not at the end because of the Termination. Please be careful and connect the Plug while the PC is switched off, otherwise your MPI Bus could drop. Best regards J_Bell

ralphtang Posts: 33 Rating: (1)	I am confused. your guys are talking about use a Profibus connector with a Profibus cable to replace my current use one to link S7-314 and TP27. are you sure it works on a standard S7-314 which only have a MPI connection? I have a 6ES7 972-0BB12-0AX0 connector, Can I use this one? by the way, where I can found some supporting documents regarding this?

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, well, the Plug you mentioned, the 6ES7972-0BB12-0AX0, can be used foryourpurpose. Please use PROFIBUS Cable and Connectors on both sides and take careof the installation of the Cable in the Plug.
