Hey folks, I'm just starting to dig into this project and it's been years since I've worked with Siemens. The production line I'm working on is fairly old and quirky. I thought I'd check the firmware version and it looks like it may be pre v2.0 but I'm not sure. I've found this link http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&lang=en&objid=16750732&caller=viewand I think I understand it for the most part. When I try and display the firmware version as shown in that link, I get no firmware version and it looks like the hardware is Version 1. Step7 V5.5 gave a message that that module (6ES7 315-2AF02-0AB0) does not support firmware updates. I see that the firmware update process requires a 4Mb memory card and I've got a 64Kb installed.
