S7 315-2DP and write-/read protection

Zahir Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have a plant that I have automated on s7 315-2DP and as an agreement with the client I have protected the CPU from write-/read protection untill all my claims are settled. I did this setting in the "Protection" tab in the CPU properties, Protection level and set the protection level at "3 write-/read protection" and entered the password. What is strange is that I am able to access the CPU without any password most of the times! ....and someone has already tampered with the program! why is this protection not working? what did I do wrong?

Check your setting according to Enabling password protection in an S7 CPU NOTE: You can only protect the program with a password in a module if the module and your STEP 7 support this functionality. All 300-series CPUs delivered since 04/98 support this functionality. All 4400-series CPUs delivered since 03/98 support this functionality. STEP 7 version V4.0.2 and higher supports this functionality. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev
