S7-319-3PN onboard ETH connection config

big_muzzy Posts: 48 Rating: (0)	Hi Masters!! Right! I have two S7-319-3PN CPUs and I wish to use onboard ETH perts (X3). I want to set connection across them and then exchange data with AG_SEND and AG_RECV. Main problem I am facing is configuration of connection in NetPro. I am using multiproject containing 2 projects - one for each PLC. I have merged the networks so ethernet appears as projectwide Ethernet. When I tried to set any other than 'S7 connection' the system rejected that. Technical documentation is saying that port X3 supports ISO, ISO on TCP/IP, UDP... No way to set up those connection. See attachment. Am I doing anything wrong? Do you need to put CP on rack to be able to use AG_SEND and AG_RECV? Even if I configure 'S7 connection' what I suppose to put in LADDR when I call FC5 and FC6? Attachment S7 connection.JPG (103 Downloads)

Am I doing anything wrong? Well, yes and no is the answer. While you can use ISO on TCP, TCP or UDPvia the CPU's oboard Profinet port, you willNOT be able to configure a connection in Netpro for this (you would need a CP to do so and could then also use AG_SEND/RECV). I admit it sounds a bit weird, but it is what is is(or how Siemens designed it) and you will in this case have to use theso called"Open communications" and the associated TSEND, TRECV, TCON etc. blocks (the connection details are now"configured in a DB instead of NetPro and TCON is used in the program to establish the connection). A "Wizard" is available HERE (incl. example links) to help you with the connection DB setup. Alternatively, configure the S7 connection in NetPro and use S7 communication via GET/PUT or BSEND/BRECV or even USEND/URECV. big_muzzy Do you need to put CP on rack to be able to use AG_SEND and AG_RECV?
