Hello big_muzzy
Well, yes and no is the answer. While you can use ISO on TCP, TCP or UDPvia the CPU's oboard Profinet port, you willNOT be able to configure a connection in Netpro for this (you would need a CP to do so and could then also use AG_SEND/RECV). I admit it sounds a bit weird, but it is what is is(or how Siemens designed it) and you will in this case have to use theso called"Open communications" and the associated TSEND, TRECV, TCON etc. blocks (the connection details are now"configured in a DB instead of NetPro and TCON is used in the program to establish the connection). A "Wizard" is available HERE (incl. example links) to help you with the connection DB setup. Alternatively, configure the S7 connection in NetPro and use S7 communication via GET/PUT or BSEND/BRECV or even USEND/URECV.
Simple answer: Yes I hope this helps |
