S7 319-PN/DP ethernet TCP/IP to PLC5 DH+ comms link

Deleted User Posts: 767 Rating: (69)	Hi, Iam developing anS7 319 PN/DP system to replace a AB PLC5 basesd system. as a part of this project (it was not there in start) I also have to make a comms link between S7 and PLC5 CPU. As this link has to be fast so I am thinking of using DH+ port on PLC5 side which can give me spped up to 230.5K rather than the slow modbus and then the ethernet TCP/IP on the S7-300 by using something like http://www.datahighwayplus.com/products_dl4500edhplus_profile.htm. Now I just wonder has anyone tried something like this or anybody have used somethingelse for this. any ideas any examples... By the way I haveseen all the FAQ but they are all about controllogix but my problem is the old PLC5 Many thanks
