S7-400 CPU 412-2 DP:Profibus communication with DeltaV

In our plant we have a Profibus communciation between a 412-2DP CPU (see PIC 1) en DeltaV (Emerson DCS). Totaly there are 8 slots configured (see pic 2). There is NO communication error on the DCS, still there is no data comming through from slot 5 (see PIC 2). What is strange is that for slot 1 until slot 4 the process image is set as a default value on “OB1 PI” (see PIC 3). From slot 5 this setting (“OB1 PI”) can not be made (see PIC 4)? The data from the PLC is written with a transfer on the QBx (see PIC 5). How can this be fixed? Regards, KGI AttachmentDoc1.pdf (99 Downloads) |

Hello KGI my guess is thatyour Process Image is only 128 Bytes which would explain you problem. If so, there's two possible solutions: 1.) Incease the size of the Process Imageif your CPU allows you too (see CPU properties in HWconfig) 2.) Use Peripheral addressing for all addresses 128 and greater (see also Where and when do you need peripheral addressing? for more). I hope this helps |
