hey tom, PN communication is for PNIO controller and PNIO device. i guess you just want a connection? perhaps just establish an s7 connection and use PUT/GET. some links that can help: establish s7-connection PUT/GET communication the links are not explicit for s7-400 and s7-1200 but the procedure is very similar. i am sorry that i do not have an example project at hand. what exact requirements do you have for your communication? |

Do you have to communicate over subnets? If not: just make one connection in the s7-400 (unspecified, refer to my link in first post) and put your data to the S7-1200 with PUT (there are different GET blocks for the CPU and the CP). Therefore you do not need to insert the S7-1200 in the HWCN (configuration). Another option (i stole it from another thread)

When doing PN Comms between 443-1 and s7-1200, and the s7-1200 is a seperate project, MUST a 443-1 advanced be used? Is it possible to use 443-1 lean? |
