S7-400 Proxy and HMI Array Tags

Hi,

I have a project with a proxy device, an S7-400, and when I try to import some integer array to the HMI tags section, it says that the protocol does not support them.  So I can create integer arrays as internal tags, but I can't copy the arrays I imported from the proxy device.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?  I need this because I need to save powertags, and there are plenty of arrays in my plc code.

Pls share your projects or screen shot.since it works 

when u browse for the DB and select any of the index for eg: 0.....10

you cannot save the power tags by putting in array since each tag inside the array is counted as a power tag.

Mmm, OK, I thought that each array counted as one powertag.  Later on I will try again and make some screenshots so you can see the issue.

this is not right. 1 Array tag is counted as one Powertag in an WinCC Advanced Runtime in TIA portal

Look at you compile log. you can use the tags out of the Array in pictures or Messages and the Cout tells you that you have only 1 Powertag in use.

The Problem must be another one.

look in the Tag Table is at the array used absolute or symbolic adressing.

Perhaps you can sent us a few screenshots so that we can see whats wrong.

That's what I've read, that one arrays it's only one power tag, but I'm new to WinCC so I wasn't sure.  The error message is that the driver does not support this data type.  Here is the screenshot.

When I add it, it's added as absolute access.  Let's see if I can solve this issue :D.

im sorry what murf says is correct.

power tags are not counted for every individual array element when they are defined in HMI tag table and configured. if browsed directly it costs as one power tag.

click on add new tag-define the array-and give the start address of the array in address 

I have two device proxies, one S7-300 and one S7-400.  They are connected with a WinCC RT server with an Ethernet.  Right now I'm developing the scads with the simulator, so the connection is a PLCSIM (TCP/IP).   The server is connected to a WinCC client.  I'm out of the office so I can't show you the HMI connection screen, but I will as soon as I can.

Sorry for my lack of technical language in the WinCC terminology :)

Impotant Question is, do you use a WinCC Professional Runtime or a WinCC Advanced Runtime?

An Array of an external connection is not supported in WinCC Professionalonly in WInCC Advanced Runtime!

You can only use an internal Array in WinCC Professional.

Uuh so that will be the issue;  I have WinCC Professional :(.   So much disparity between versions of WinCC, one can't chose one version without losing something.  So I can't do anything to save power tags right?
