S7-400H CPU with 80 Remote ET200S CPU through ProfiNET

CPU I am planning to use is S7-416H, 6ES7416-5HS06-0AB0. Because it has 94 Open IE Communication resource maximum. Please advise. |

For the remote locations, I am planning to go with S7-1200 CPUs with IO Cards. Could anyone of you help me whether this configuration will satisfy the requirement? |

Hi Well S7400 Hot redundant System supports Profibus and not Profinet. But if you use the profinet in ring redundancy it is possible to use it in S7400 H system. Further more you can use the S7400- 416 via profinet. But please tell us what is the IO requirement. How many AI, AO, DI,DO modules are you planning to use. See the Load on the controller is decided by the no of AO and DO (PID / Control) it is going to use. If your system has only Digital then you can use the same. But be carefull it is advisable to break your system into little part say you can have single controller for 20 areas or so. Typical configuration |
