S7-400H - External Fault in Master PLC alone/Slave - dont have any fault

Prakash_Chennai Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Hi, I am using CPU 417-5H PN/DP, i am facing a problem in Master PLC, External Fault dispalying in Master CPU and Slave CPU is healthy it not shows any fault, Its strange for me For references i attached the Master & Slave PLC diagnostic screens and diagnostic messages Can anyone please suggest to clear the External Fault Best Regards Prakash Attachment Datacon - Master PLC Diagnostic.png (244 Downloads)

Sachinpatke Silver Member Joined: 12/9/2010 Last visit: 10/8/2022 Posts: 623 Rating: (77)	Hi Prakash_Chennai, This fault is due to DP slaves which does not get initialised/configured during PLC startup. U should again perform Master-slave changeover by putting PLC0 in stop mode. Now if CPU1 is without external fault, then the problem is with monitoring times 1. Finished message from modules 2. Transfer of parameters to modules[CPU properties-Startup.
