Hello AUDIONE73 I'm afraid to say that the "common" problem is the way you use the OLM G22. Put simple, the redundant Profibus of a H-System requires two physically seperate Profibus Networks (one per CPU). Even thoughan OLM G22 has 2 RS485 ports, theseare internally linked together via repeaters and all OLM G22 portsbelong to ONE logical Network. The press release statemenet of theOLM-G22 is still correct, but note that the word "Segment" is used in it. Segments are created within a Network when a repeater is used, but itstill remainsONE Network (and you need two physically seperate Newtorks). The only solution I see for you is to buy more OLM's (G12's will do the job as you don't really seem to have a need for the second RS485 port). I hope this helps |

Correct dear AUDIONE73 the only way to achieve whjat you want to do is to change your design to a dual redundant fiber optic ring which means you'll need double the amount of OLM's that you currently have foreseen. |
