My case is use to transfer data between S7-1214C using CM 1242-5 module and CPU S7-314C 2DP through Profibus. The project of 314C 2DP is on Step 7 v5.5 and S7-1214C is on TIA Portal. Can I use S7-Communication (using PUT/GET command)? If yes, can you guys tell me how to configure Hardware on 2 project! I will be appreciate that. Thanks

The following thread discusses setting up a S7 communication between a TIA Portal program and a Simatic Manager program, but over Profinet.

The idea applies also to Profibus, or Industrial Ethernet. since PUT/GER are a server/client application, only one of the CPU programs need to be configured with an "Unspecified Connection" (only on the client); the server needs no configuration or programming. The PUT and GET blocks are also programmed only on the client.

Look at the information and link provided by Huggy and fritz in the thread avbove, you should be able to set your client up properly.

Thank you for your comment. You are quite right.

My apologies to lezard, with a CM 1242-5  you can only use Profibus slave configuration, so the CPU 314c-2DP must be a Profibus master if you want to establish data exchanges between the 2 systems.
