I want to ask you guys is it possible to connect S7-1516 PLC to an old S7-300 DP PLC which has a CP 343-1 LEAN using PUT/GET instructions? I made a connection between the S7-1516 PLC and a S7-300 PN/DP controller with no difficulty at all but the upper mentioned connection seems impossible to me - I tried everything I know.

I guess it could not be done or something need to be added to the configuration of the GET instruction because it does not work ( I tried just with a simple change - I changed the address of the S7-300 DP PLC with CP343-1 LEAN with another one which is PN/DP and it worked just fine :(((((((( ) Anyone who had similar problem?

If I select new connection, and than unspecified, the lean processor does not accept this.

TCP connection for example is accepted.

If I change it to an other ethernet cp it works, unspecified connections are accepted....

So I guess the lean cp does not allow unspecified connections at all ????

PLCS71500 and S7300 can communicate together via CP343_1. Based on the S7 connection, you can communicate. However, you have to ensure the CP343_1 must support the ethernet connection if the version of CP343_ is too old, it not support the connection, then you have to change this module. Goold luck.
