S7 Connection to IMI151-7 CPU

dkmofre Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi. I have a 315 PN/DP CPU and a ET200S IMI151-7 CPU. I want to make a S7 Connectin from the 315 to the IMI151 on PROFIBUS, but when I create a new connection I always get error-coe 276:27 Due I need a hotfix for SP4? 276:27 error-code: "No valid connection coul be establishe between the local and remote partners (for example, due to incomplete network or there are no more connection resoures)"

I would create the IM station first and then S7 315. Add the IM to 315 subnet master system from the configured slaves folder of the hardware config and then adjust your connection settings to suit. mumbles Posts: 160 Rating: (16)	HI, Sorry I did not realise you were trying to configure a connection via Netpro. Unfortunately only S7-basic connections can be established via Profibus betwen S7-300 stations. Just to clarify it is possible to establsih a S7 connetcion only when you are using a CP and relevant FB's. Please refer to the techincal data of the CPU's for this information to see if it supports client and /or server roles. Please refer to the following link for information with regards to communications in Simatis capabilities. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/20982954 Please refer to the folowing link for a guide to establshing Client / Server Communication with (I) Slaves via S7 Basic Communication (I_PUT/ I_GET) http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/20987910 Maybe this would be of better use for you.
