S7 Connections between CPU's with Built in Ethernet Port

Raymondk Posts: 62 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have a step7 project which has 6 PLC. I would like to have data sent between each PLC using ethernet communication. I was able to have data succefully transfered from one of the PLC to two only. Attached shows the project with Netpro configuration. In netpro you can see i have configured s7 connection. The PLC are named. 1. PCS_PLC 2. Redundancy Safety PLC1 3. Redundancy Safety PLC2 4. SCADA PLC 5. Unit 41 PLC 6. Unit 42 PLC I am using the FB's BSEND and BRCV. So far i am only able to send data from PCS_PLC to Redundant Saftey PLC1 and Redundant Safety PLC2. I am not getting any data coming back from PCS_PLC. For the other connection my main objective is to have data recieve on the SCADA PLC from all other PLC in the project. I am unable to acheive this even doh i use the same FB100 logics in all the PLC and have change the ID address to be unique to each PLC. Is there a limit to how many time the BSEND and BRCV can be use? Is there any other communication i can use over the Ethernet communication between the PLC's? When i look at the BRCV block in the SCADA PLC for the respective connection the NDR and ERROR values stays at "0" and does not change. Thank you. Regards, Raymond. little holmes Experienced Member Joined: 12/9/2009 Last visit: 4/18/2024 Posts: 156 Rating: (11)	Hello, here you can find a sample programm for S7 communication with FB12 "BSEND" und FB13 "BRECV". http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/18516182 With the NCM Diagnostic you can find out whether the S7 connections are established or not. Please check the settings on the parameters of the function blocks FB12 and FB13, for example connection ID, SEND buffer, etc. You have to call the function blocks in both communication partners. On of them has to establish the S7 connection. Good Luck Little Holmes
