S7 fail-safe communication between two 319F

tomekhad Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi, I am trying to establish fail-safe connection between two 319F CPU's using standard safety functions : FB224 (Send S7 connection) and FB225 (Receives S7 connection). In manual they say that you cannot use unnspecified connection in NetPro. But they also don't say what kind of connection is needed. I have got two CPU's in standard ethernet network. Which connection should I choose in Netpro to establish this communication ?

fritz Diamond Expert Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 3/20/2025 Posts: 3042 Rating: (1061)	Hello tomekhad you need to choosean "S7 connection" in Netpro, have another look atchapter 8.7 of the SIMATIC Industrial Software S7 Distributed Safety - configuring and programmingwhere this is mentioned too (and note that you MUST use your 319F's PN port for this S7 connection and can NOT use a CP343-1). Ihope this helps
