S7 installation version conflict

kid237 Posts: 158 Rating: (3)	Hi, Im trying to install S7 V5.1 on my notebook and previously i had S7 V5.3 installed in it. I cant seem to proceed with the installation as i keep getting the error message saying that there is a higher higher version of Step7 installed on my notebook. I have uninstalled the newer version of Step7 from my notebook but i still getting the same error message. Can anyone help me with this?

I could not recommend any specific procedure without knowing what you have on your system. Export a list of your installed software. Uninstalling does not remove the SIEMENS directory, even if it's the only application you have loaded on your system. There are also registry entries that may need to be removed. That is why it's important to know what you have installed. Pray tell -- why would you want to go back?

Also make some changes in registry.
