S7 v5.4 error message when going online with PN PCU

UglyAmerican Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	I am getting an error: "33:16656 Online: Connection could not be established. The connection partner is not responding" The CPU is a 6ES7 151-8AB00-0AB0. I am using a full crossover Ethernet cable (all 4 pairs are crossed). I have S7 manager V5.4 + SP3 + HF1. I have allowed TCP port 102 on windows Firewall, but I still get this error. Can someone please give me some advice?

Fafner Silver Member Joined: 3/20/2013 Last visit: 3/18/2025 Posts: 676 Rating: (44)	when occurs the error msg? you are trying to download a program to your cpu?! have you already to search the cpu via "plc->edit ethernet node -> browse"? does STEP 7 recognize the CPU and you can 'only'not download or does it not even see the CPU?

UglyAmerican Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Also I was using Industrial Ethernet instead of TCP/IP. Just set the IP-address and subnet mask accordingly (based on the offline project) and vuala. But, what if you don't have an offline project and want to read a PN CPU without knowing its TCP settings from the HW config?
