Denilson Pegaia Platinum Member Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 4/21/2025 Posts: 4406 Rating: (1481)	if I understood correctly, there is a loosing of pulses.In this case, I can think in the follow Hypotheses:1 - Noise – Check grounding and shielding.2 – The encoder send pulses faster as the module could read3 – Fault module or encoder.To check this possibilities, I suggest you use a oscilloscope and “look” what happens with the pulses.An alternative is test in a controlled ambient (lab) with low encoder speed and no electromagnetic interferences.

Add some resistor in parallel to increase loadto sensor - when sensor switches offthe voltage will drop rapidly trough resistor. Impedance of digital input is relatively high and when sensor turns off , because of parasitic capacitance voltage drops slowly - current flows trough high impedance of dig. input. If you add resistor voltage will drop instantly and you get "more" quadratic pulses.
