S71200 tcp/ip connection with PC

trinitry Experienced Member Joined: 12/17/2013 Last visit: 6/3/2022 Posts: 41 Rating: (3)	Dear all, i had implement a tcp connection between the S7-1200 as client and and a PC, running a simple java based server. The connection was succeed and i get data into my PLC. My problem is when i reboot the PLC (not stopping the CPU). I have a "soft reboot" initiated by an external button passing through my initilization function as it happens when actually a stop/start CPU execution happens. As i can see my PLC hangs an the TRCV function block trying to reconnect to the server. I try to implement a reconection algorihtm like if i have a dword of 000 at status of my TRCV block to energize the TDISCON fb and then energize a request to TCON block but i got the same behaviour. On the other side the server seems to sending data to PLC. How i can implemet a reconection to the server without execute a stop/start of the CPU which is actually overcome this issue?? Thank you in advance. P.S. any comment is more than welcome

Pittiplatsch Posts: 1368 Rating: (128)	Hello, please note, that the Parameter ERROR, STATUS etc shows the value only for own cycle. You have to copy the DWORD of STATUS in another memory to analyze the error code.

For some reason i dont know yet, it couldn't reconnect to my server even though the server report a succes connection and kept sending datra. So i decide to discard the TCON block and use the TSEND_C block. Apparently it worked, it get reconnect after rebooting the plc. Thank for the comments and the suggestions.
