S71200

Dear Sir

We got a machine with S71200 using Output module 222-1hh30-0xb0 and Input module 221-1BH30-0XB0

a) One of the outputs is continiously ON

We want to use spare output ie rewiring

Is it possible to do via TIA portal, we have done such rewiring in S7300 using simatic manager but never tried in S71200

If it is possible to rewire, please let us know if we can upload project to PG, change faulty output to spare output and download or any other steps r needed

b) Automatric license manager indicates unlimited license  for Step 7 and WinCC, how do I know if TIA portal itself has got valid license or not to do the needful

I don't see any problems to upload prj from PLC to PG, rewire that TAG which belongs to Output and download all back with changes. BUT! On my experience there can be defined some BIT/BYTE/WORD/DWORD TAG is creating as TAG processing that previous Output address and this can be problem! So carefully watch that uploaded prj for this situation. Hope give you relevant answer

..but allow me to expand a little.

If you did not have any tags when doing an upload, then at least give tags (name) to the address that needs changing. You can then right click on the tag in the program....

Bonus.... I would strongly suggest you upgrade your current software to the newest update (as stated by you in other posts). There was many problems that was sorted out in the updates. For TIA Portal V11(did I read right?).....

The upgrades within a version is provided by Siemens.
Jumping to a new version is not for free.

You are welcome to search the Siemens site for an upgrade SP2. The trial software will also work:
* Move your licence(s) onto a USB thumb drive
* Remove (uninstall) TIA V11 SP1
* Install the trial version TIA V11 SP2
* Update to update 5
* Move your software license back to your PC.
