hello, Lot of questions
Start with manual, there you will find how to connect the onboard i/o. You don't have to configure the onboard i/o, that's already done because it's a compact CPU. You can however change the configuration, but better leave it as it is. Analog inputs are read as PIW xxx , outputs are addressed PQW xxx, you will find the xxx in the hardware config. Channels are the analog inputs/outputs, channel 1 is your 1st analog input. Yes, you can use i.e. a 9 V battery if analog input is 0-10V (default setting) To process the analog value you may need to scale the analog input signal.
