S7300 software redundancy with PN HMI

Hi all,

I am about to make a s7300 software redundancy according to some Siemens manuals online.

According to that manual the HMI in connected with MPI to two PLC if i am right. But in my case I have a PN HMI.

What is there something that can be done instead a MPI/DP to have PN HMI?

Hi Dren,

as per me, with MPI we need two HMI to connect it with software redundant cpu.

if Profiet you can write script to switch connection to the master cpu.

How many HMI do you have?

Is your HMI a basic or comport model? 

HMI with 400h

I am going to implement Software redundancy according  to this manual (link) see page 75.

I want ot use just one HMI as stated in manual except in Profinet and not in MPI!

Can you plase elaborate more that the script  changing tags from you PLC to the other?

Since i also doesnt have practical experience on the connection.

please share your expirence on completion of the task.
