Hihdhosseini, Ohk.. Thanks. Yes, MLFB and Versions of both CPU's are identical. Also same case with CP 443-1 cards. So, that means, I will just have to replace spare modules with existing CPU and do the connections as were made previous. Right?? One more doubt, If I am monitoring one of the block/ program form CPU and changeover takes place. So, in this case, will CPU go stop mode or it doesn't matter?? Thanks, Shailesh

In case of the same MLFB and order number, it possible to change. Please read more in the S7-400 installation manaul HERE , section for maintenance. Also check the Rack number on CPU before installing the new one. There is another point to consider regarding CP443-1,in case of using ISO protocol based on "Mac Address", I think there is need to download altered configuration with MAC address of new CP.(For confirmation , I will ask this part to be split, as a new question in communication conference)
There are different reasons for change-over, you must explain more for more clear answer. In case of a switchover, new master take control of process and the old master in now standby (Both Run scenario)based on the case, the new standby CPU may enter STOP mode (like fiber link interruption ,CPU enters search mode and then if fiber connection doesn't recover enter STOP mode).
I hope these comments help you! Hamid Hosseini |

I am afraid to say MAC addresses should be unique(they should not be the same),But wait until transferring new discussion to Network conference for confirmation.
UPDATE: Read more in section 3 HERE

Hihdhosseini, I have not done anything yet with spares.. But I found that client isn't have CP 443-1 cards in spare. So I think, this will make my life easier. So now, I will just have to replace CPU and MMC.. And no downloading of hardware and network configuration. Right?? Thanks, Shailesh |

Hello, For changing the CPU, just follow the instruction in section 16-2-1 of THIS manual.Use same CPU with the same firmware version of the faulty CPU.Use the same external load memory (Flash/RAM), Just remove it from the old CPU and insert it in the new one(also explained in section 16-2-1) .
For CP443-1,It is possible to change it without download, read more in the link provided before. I hope this helps, Hamid Hosseini |

Hihdhosseini, It worked. I only replaced CPU and Memory card and redundancy worked. There was no REDF fault after doing connections. Thanks to you... One more doubt.. Spare power supply's MLFB number is different from existing Power supply's MLFB number. Existing PS: 6ES7 407-0KR02-0AA0 Spare PS : 6ES7 407-0KA02-0AA0 Does it matter if MLFB number is different? Or just by changing hardware in Hardware configuration it will work? Thanks, Shailesh
