S7Online connection problem with Starter and Sinamics

MustafaRaza Experienced Member Joined: 7/10/2017 Last visit: 6/23/2024 Posts: 117 Rating: (2)	Dear Experts, I have connected MM440 and Sinamics G120 via profibus to my S7-315 2pn/dp PLC. I am accessing PLC via Ethernet port for programming. I am able to connect each Drive in Starter software through MPI cable. But when I try to access Drives through my S7Online Inerface, it fails. Either my PG/PC setting is not proper or IS IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CONNECT with two interfaces i.e Ethernet and Profibus together? I repeat My PG is connected to PLC via TCP/IP interface and My Drives are connected to PLC via Profibus.... Please help....

ChristophD Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 5/12/2006 Last visit: 10/2/2024 Posts: 22388 Rating: (3016)	Hello, for this you need S7 Routing , then the connection is routed trough the PLC PN Interface to the MPI/DP Network. You must place a PG/PC in NetPro and connect it to the Ethernet Network of the PLC, then you must assign the PG INterface to this Network connection. After Download to the PLC you should be able to connect the Drives over the PN Interface of the PLC. If you have problems to configure the Routing please add some Screens of you configuration and screens of Errormessages you get! Regards Christoph

ChristophD Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 5/12/2006 Last visit: 10/2/2024 Posts: 22388 Rating: (3016)	Hi, you must select the TCP/IP -> Intel and click on the Assign button in Netpro (screen "Screenshot - 7_25_2017 , 4_24_07 PM.png") TCP/IP (AUTO) should not be use, ISO is not supported. ChristophD Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 5/12/2006 Last visit: 10/2/2024 Posts: 22388 Rating: (3016)	Hello, of you use a router then yes, if you have no router between PC and PLC then deactivate this option! can you make a screen of all messages in Starter, not only the last 3 lines? have you download the changes in the PLC after you change it? in Starter right click on the SInamics -> target device -> online Access -> adress (please a screen) Regards Christoph

I have downloaded the S7-300 station in plc after making changes in PG/PC in Netpro.... I am attaching the screenshot of Micromaster>Target Device>Online Access>Module address. Thanks Sir.... I created MM4 config. first in Hardware configuration in s7 and then from starter I am trying to access the MM4 drive. setting for profibus address 4 was done in hardware config..... First I connected MM4 drive with MPI to my PG and set DEVICE access via MPI and i could able to establish connection.... Later I tried to have access through Profibus and Ethernet in S7-315 2pn/dp PLC. There I am facing problem..... Regards, Mr. G. This only happens if the mm4 is not created in HWConfig so the Online Information can't be read out from the project. In this case you must fill yourself the needed information for the Routing (S7 Network ID, IP Adress of PLC) The dialog normaly looks like attached screen.
