Hello DaWWa, Are you going to used in TIA Portal ? normally Fail safe lightcurtains are used same as a Emergency Stop.

Hi, some useful info available on the link Safety: Light curtain SIMATIC FS400 with muting in F-CPU, in category 4 according to EN 954-1: 1996 (with evaluation according to EN 62061 and EN ISO 13849-1: 2006) Hope this helps
