Hi everyone, Today we had an issue on a ET200SP module that all 4 safety input modules where blinking red. But if I opened the hardware configuration online all module where OK. The solution was to restart the PLC and then the issue was solved. Anyone an explanation for this? Thank you for sharing your experience. |

Hello, which LED is flashing or which is on? It could be that all modules are passivated. If not then do you have a failure at all channels of your input moduel with the result that the inputs are passivated. If you switch off/on then you reset the passivation. Otherwise can you use the function ACK_REQ to reintegrate the modules to the system Please look at the manual SIMATIC Industrial Software SIMATIC Safety - Configuring and Programming at chapter 6.5 regards |

The diagnostic leds where blinking on al four input modules. 1 input module all the channels are not wired yet for feature e-stops. But if a channel is passivated you have to see it in the hardware config a assume no? In the HW config everything was ok... We reboot the ET200SP module by taking of the power but no result. So for my understanding, by rebooting the PLC the modules where reintegrated again? but it's also possible with the ACK_REQ? |

Hi bokkerijder1, yes, the re-integration is done with ACK_REQ or with restarting the PLC. You won't see a hardware error if the error has gone and the device is only waiting for re-integration. Kind regards |

It tripped for safety. Contacts and such wear out and don't close at the same rate. Maybe an estop or anything you have running two channels through the safety module. It reads a discrepancy for more than a few ms it trips. From the factory the level of discrepancy is set too low;. Raise it to about 120-150ms and that should fix you up. |
