Sampling time for event reporting in Win CC

kris Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	I have an application that demands binary signals to be scanned every 10 ms. The status of the binary signals need to be logged and stored in a report format in Win CC. The report must show the status of signals at 10 ms intervals. Is this possible in Win CC? This is necessary to find out the sequence of events that happened in a machine. Kris

Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (171)	Hi I think WinCC is not made for tracking signals in 10 ms raster. You should try to compress the signal state information in you S7-CPU and send these compact information to WinCC nemo

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi, I've seen a system where the customer requested a 100ms archiving cycle for his bits, but there was bit extracting involved (they purchased a license for 100 tags and had over 1000, so they sent bits within words). An assembly external program was involved in that situation, but for the 100ms it still didn't catch all the data, it lost about 5%. I think you'd need a similar solution: an external application for polling and archiving... I haven't seen any used for WinCC, though... anyone?
