Save value on HMI and crash software ? Need help

Hi,

First, I don't know if I am on the right forum. I choose this forum because my programm crash when I am programming the HMI.

My software crash (TIA portal V13 Udp7)  when I want to choose a tag of a DB block. It happens just as define my variable.

It was done before with variable string on a another DB block. I have successfully this problem but I don't know where is my error. I would like to understand.

On to explain what I would like. I find be simpler for you to understand.

I would like keep my value of my counter (PV) choose in the HMI (KTP 400 basic). When I cuts off the supply and when the supply is ON, I would like review this valeur choose.

I want to save my setting choose in the HMI

Need to understand the principle.

I see on the forum, some crash problems with the udapte software

It's just, if I choose "remanent" that save my value on the DB block?

Yes, Remanent means that the value is keeping when you shut down the power

The crash of TIA portal come when I choose the variable of DB Block for the field I/O.

I did update 8 but the software crash always.

try to recompile (rebuild) all (HMI and PLC project).

If this doesn't work you can try to copy the HMI project. (= New Device in HW). Does it work in the copy?

With the first solution, it work. Thank you. 

My value is "saved" when I cut the supply :).

For the second solution, I don't tested. I test this solution if the first solution dosen't work. Thank you
