Save Variable more than 30 days?

pascal_1000 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	hello, On my machine i have instructions of temperature to save. It's an operator changes this instructions on a touch screen, but i want save this variables more than 30 days. How do you do this to save the variables on MMC ? If I 've use a specifical SFC,what are they? thanx,

You can save variables on the MMC by using a DataBlock. If the voltage drops, the value's of the DB will be written to the MMC. Wizard

pascal_1000 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I try your solution, but when I cut the current and I restar my CPU, the variables takes the initial value. I have change the initial values with my temperatures instructions with a SFC 21 "Fill", the problem is : the values aren't recorded in the MMC, I think, i take another block to transfert the values in the MMC, no? pascal

Wizard Diamond Member Joined: 4/24/2006 Last visit: 6/5/2023 Posts: 8587 Rating: (1127)	Hi, You can change the properties of the DB in Step7 (beginning with v5.2 + sp1) whether a DB at Power On/Off or RUN/STOP * keeps the actual value (retentive) * accepts the initial value (non retentive) Or if You use SFC82 the parameter ATTRIB -> NON RETAIN bit Hope this will help. pascal_1000 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	hi, [:(] I don't arrive to save my Data block, i want try with SFC220,221,222, but when I write the variable string (FILENAME) the program refuse this, I write for example "test". how result this? I'm return for the data block problem, I enter a variable on my touch screen (example 25), after I save my program on my MMC card, when i do stop and start on my automat, it's good the varaible is recorded, it's the same when i change my variable (40). But when i load my program MMC--> CPU, my varable is 25, or i want have 40.(the last variable I have choose), have you a solution? pascal,

Safe 1 Posts: 5 Rating: (1)	In order to write to a db in the MMC you must unlink the datablock first. You do this by right clicking on the DB and checking Unlink option found in the properties. You can then read and write data to/from the MMC via SFC83 and SFC84. Please also keep in mind that the MMC only allows a certain number of writes. After this the MMC card will need to be replaced. If you write to the MMC every scan you will quickly wear out the card.

But for the MMC life, I ve a solution, in my program I see my instructions (I use a compare blocks)when they change, I write on MMC, so i don't write on my MMC every time. Pascal,
