scada with tia portal

If you have TIA portal V13 SP1 Package, you will use the CDs of STEP7 professional V13 & WINCC Professional V13 to do your system.

Davinator Gold Member Joined: 1/4/2013 Last visit: 1/19/2025 Posts: 1137 Rating: (102)	If you plan to launch the scada (aka wincc runtime) from that PC you do not need nothing. Consider that your licence will be valid for only THAT pc and for each PC you need a new licence

Go to help and click installed software you will get the information for each software and for the trial version it will work for the limited period of time and for scada you will need TIA WinCC professsional thats it but better to use the licence version to get all the features work for long time period

Please check the difference between difference TIA wincc products at this link. This link is for version V12 but you can consider the same for V13.

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 1/17/2025 Posts: 14593 Rating: (1818)	Hello Do you need a "SCADA" System (WinCCProfessional Runtime or WinCC V7.X) or do you only need a Runtime that runs on a PC and communicates to PLCs? Then you can also use a WinCC Advanced Runtime! Perhaps the functionality fits to your usecase? The WinCC Advanced Runtime is muuuch less expensive and much less complicated then WinCC Professional. You should consider that before you buy any License. Bye Murof
