I can see my network using PST Tool when connected directely to one of SCALANCE's port but if I try to see it from PC end (ethernet cable) I can't see it anymore. I used a standard TCP/IP wall plug. How should I wire the 4 wires?

If you use the same cable with which you are connected to the Scalance X202-2IRT's directly on you wall outlet does it work then? If not there is something wrong between the outlet and the Scalance. Are you sure that your wall outlet is connected to the correct network? Or could it be that the cabling is longer then 100 meter? What are the port settings for the Scalance? Are you accidentally connected on a mirror port or a ring port? A wiring plan can be found here:

As far I have seen in the configuration settings, I couldn't activate mirroring. When I connect the Cp 1613 to the Scalance the led (Scalance) light's up but very slow and more o with orange collor. It's not like when I connect CP443 or FO - when I get strong flashing orange/green. The wall outlet Is only used by my network, and cable is around 15 m. Also I can't see CP1613 using PST tool. I can't open the wiki link. Can you give the page link?

ionut.b Bronze Member Joined: 1/17/2007 Last visit: 10/6/2020 Posts: 289 Rating: (3)	I don't think I have problems with PST adapter/cable because I can see (with a laptop)all the other network components if I plug a standard internet cable into Scalance. The PC is in another room and for this I use a portion ofFC TP CABLE GP2X2, the same I used to configure all my network. At SCLALNCE end I have FC RJ45 PLUG 180 2x2 and at the other end a wall plug I wich I connected all the 4 wires. Maybe here the wiring is wrong? So I only have 4 wires instead of 8 wires. Between PC and wall plug I have made another cable the same way as the others in the network. The IP for CP 1613 is set with HW config (STEP 7) and is unique. If I check with PST(laptop) I can't see CP 1613 in the list of connected devices. How should I connect the 4 wires in my wall outlet?

You no thatsuch combinations aren't tested. Siemens especially test the cabling together with the FC material. Working with normal RJ45 or with office material won't be a good idea. Can't you plug in a FC connector in the Wall Outlet? Maybe you can make a small drawing because I don't have a complete idea about what your application looks like.

Still since I can't see the network after the wall soket maybe here is the problem. I will try to put a single cable all the way from Scalance to PC and check with PST Tool. Thank you. I can't test it and I didn't worked with the CP1613 before but I could imagine that the CP1613 and the PST are not working together? I mean PN IO with the CP1613 isn't possible either.
