I have been using third party router in my applications and I thought I give a try the M800 Series from Scalance.

I have to setup an application sending SMS via M876, and I want to also test other things like Open VPN setup.

I have setup the router to connect to my moblile network and also act as a DHCP server to my PC.

From System>ping, I can ping internet IPs like 8.8.8.8. However my PC cannot connect to Internet via the M876. Is there a special setting for that?

do you configure the firewall so that your PC is allowed to go out of M876?

In Default, only VPN communication can pass firewall.

In other cases, you must configure rules.

A rule to the firewall was required. What was confusing me was that the mobile WAN interface was named usb0.
