Hello I need some help /hint to adjust my Scalance S612. The customer want to communicate with Modbus protocol to our control system, normally we allow them to connect direct to our plant bus. (196.100.100.x) When running Modbus they just have to connect to our CP443 Card / port 502 to retrieve data. However since we know also have put in the S612 scalance in the loop its becomes more difficult to communicate to our plant/system bus. Our set up will be like the attached pdf, however soon I will throw away S612 units and just config the clients switch with 196.100.100.X and further to our plant/system bus. Since I don’t have a clue how to config the S612 or how to start, it would be nice if some one can give me a hint how to config the S612. AS 1.1 (CP443 ) 196.100.100.101 AS 1.2 (CP443) 196.100.100.102 AS 2.1 (CP443) 196.100.100.103 AS 2.2 (CP443) 196.100.100.104 It’s there a function that can translate ex 196.100.100.101 ó 192.168.127.101 / Oka AttachmentIP-Config_Control system Overview.pdf (240 Downloads) |

Hello Dragpack there sure is and its called "routing" which is of course a feature that's supported by the S612. It needs to be configured though and the bestI can do is to point you to the manuals below: SIMATIC NET Industrial Ethernet Security Setting up security Getting Started SIMATIC NET Industrial Ethernet Security Basics and application Configuration Manual SIMATIC NET Industrial Ethernet Security SCALANCE S V3.0 Commissioning and Hardware Installation Manual I hope this helps |

Thanks, O yes I have seen this documents However since my first step it’s just to manage to communicate with CP443 cards It’s become easy just to routing the wanted IP addresses. ( Se Att PDF file ) Its was not so easy, it’s impossible to even ping anything in the subnet Something more has to be done and I don’t have a clue what to do! What about the firewall rules? Your active connection partner is external, so you'll need a rule: ALLOW ext. -> int. |
