I have installed the Primary Setup Tool (PST), Set PG/PC interface to my LAN connection, connected the LAN cable directly the Scalance switch and then I used PST to browse stations from the Network Tab menu. It could not detect any station and pop up a message that "No station was detected in the network"

Could someone advise me on this issue?

Could it be that the answer is dropped by your firewall in the PC?
I would try with deactivated firewall.

In the manual, they recommend also:
Select an interface parameter assignment for the ISO protocol (recognizable by the name "ISO Ind. Ethernet …" or "…ISO.x").

The existing modules / components are browsed on the network using a broadcast service.

These then signal back with their MAC addresses.

The broadcast service is stopped after 3 repeated frames and a 10 second response time.

Possible causes of error:

·         The existing module/component does not meet the requirements for communication with the PST.

·         The network load/utilization is high. Remedy: Repeat the menu command Network > Browse;

and

If the message "No station was detected on the network" is displayed after running the Network > Browse menu command even though there are nodes accessible in the network via their default MAC addresses, this may be due to one of the reasons listed below:

·         The correct network adapter was not selected.

·         One of the protocols was deactivated for the selected adapter.
