SIR Experienced Member Joined: 2/2/2007 Last visit: 4/8/2024 Posts: 55 Rating: (4)	Dear experts, I have 8 SCALANCES 204-4LD in redundant fibre ring.I want to synchronise them. I selected "SIMATIC time" in the Time config menu. One of the S7-416 PLCs connected to the ring is selected as a master for the time synchronisation/ every 10seconds, CP has “Forward time of the day” enabled. In this way the SCALANCES got synchronised but only once; after then the synchronisation is not working – Change in the CPU time is not reflected on the switches. Where is my problem? What is wrong? CP has these settings; the ring is set to MRP protocol (and is working as redundant ring O.K., the ring manager is doing his job). I tried with CP set to “From Station to LAN”, no effect. A small detail: all PLCs in the network are running FS programs (Distributed Safety). Can this be a reason? Regards, Krassimir
