I've got a project going were I have several mobile vessels(315 slave S7 CPU's) who needs to exchange data with a master 1500 TIA CPU via a SCALANCE X208 switch. In this way i'm using a profinet network. Every CPU/vessel has a permanent IP address. You can connect and disconnect a vessel from port to port, so a vessel does not have a permanent port for him self on the switch.

I'm using USEND/URCV blocks to exchange data but there is still one problem. Exept the data transmission, the master CPU also want to know from witch IP address he is receiving data and from witch of the 8 switch ports it is coming from.

Example: Vessel V020 with IP 192.168.200.220 is connected at port P3 on the scalance switch and is sending data to the master cpu. The master cpu needs tot know that the received data is coming from V020 who is connected on switch port P3. If I disconnect V020 and connect it later at port P5 of the switch, the master needs to know that he's now receiving data from the same vessel but from another port of the switch.

PS: The switch will be a central connecting board so it is very important to know witch vessel is connected on witch port of the switch/board.

I tried a lot of blocks(IP_read, Get_DIAG, GetStationInfo,...) and I think I need to work with the hardware ID number given to each port of the switch but is don't get any positive results :s

At first, when you are working with USEND/URCV you have an S7-connection-communication, no Profinet-communication. With Profinet-Communication the s7-1500 would be a IO-Controller for the S7-300 as IO-Devices, like Master-Slave with Profibus. 

When you would do this with S7-Connection, I think it would be easier to get the communication get worked by the S7-300-CPU´s as active part of the communication and the S7-1500 as a server for the vessels. 

If you would like to solve with real Profinet and the S7-300 as I-Device, it should work without any blocks like USEND/URCV or IP_read or anything else. See the Profinet-manual how the I-Device works, chapter 4.8:

The only probelm is that the IO-Controller would miss a device when it is not connected and it will show you a failure(SF-LED) and if you don´t have loaded the right OB, the CPU will go to Stop. But you can deactivate the devices with SFC12 before disconnect it from the switch. 

And you also mustn´t project a topology, so it is allowed to connect it in every port of the switch.
