SCALANCE - X308-2LD Testing

magus Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	We are installing a Single mode network with the SCALANCE X308 in lots of substations. For factory acceptance testing we want to put the panels next to each other to test the communication, and connect them up with single mode patch leads. Someone mentioned that using patch leads on single mode OLM's for testing will damage the optical receivers on the SCALANCE, because of the short distance. The question is, can the X308 single mode units be tested with patch leads?
