I am  using scalance managed switch XB208 version 4.1  and TIA V15.1 update2. My problem is when configure the scalance in project it showing v4.0 only. V4.1 not showing where i will get the Hardware file or update the hardware catalog?

Have you used TIA Software Updater? It automatically downloads HSP's for installed TIA softwares.

    Once scalance program and configuration download that issue solved. Scalance v4.2 work with scalance v4.1 HSP file.

In the case of managed SCALANCE switches, You can usually download a GSDML file from the webserver of the switch itself if there is no up-to-date HSP in the hardware catalog. Some switches can only be implemented via their GSDML, as no HSP versions exist - I've had this happen.

The page states that "GSD is not a replacement for an integration in the hardware catalog", but when Siemens support themselves tell me that this is the only option available... In any case, I haven't had any problems using the GSDML in my project (I even set up a MRP ring topology), so I'm not sure what functionality might be missing from the GSDML.
