bassel_almouie Bronze Member Joined: 8/22/2011 Last visit: 9/25/2024 Posts: 52 Rating: (0)	Dear Experts, Hello I have PLC step5 U95, with 8 onboard analog input 0….10 volt, I connect a proximity switch with analog 0…10 volt to channel 0, I using FB250 to scale it from 0 to 100 cm, So when the voltage = 0 the distance is 0 cm And voltage = 10 volt the distance is 100cm. I need to scale it in the opposite : 0 volt = 100 cm 10 volt = 0cm Can I make it directly with FB 250 ? Thank you in advance

OUT = [ ((FLOAT (IN) – K1)/(K2–K1)) * (HI_LIM–LO_LIM)] + LO_LIM ~~The constants K1 and K2 are set based upon whether the input value is BIPOLAR or UNIPOLAR.~~ · BIPOLAR: The input integer value is assumed to be between –27648 and 27648, therefore, K1 = –27648.0 and K2 = +27648.0UNIPOLAR: The input integer value is assumed to be between 0 and 27648, therefore, K1 = 0.0 and K2 = +27648.0 If the input integer value is greater than K2, the output (OUT) is clamped to HI_LIM, and an error is returned. If the input integer value is less than K1, the output is clamped to LO_LIM, and an error is returned. Reverse scaling can be obtained by programming LO_LIM > HI_LIM. With reverse scaling, the value of the output decreases as the value of the input increases

I have PLC step5 U95 I have attached the FB 250 part of this manual. S5-90U/S5-95U Programmable Controller System Manual I think it will work if you set upper limit to 0 and lower limit to -100 and multiply the result by -1 not able to test it, have no S5 anymore. Then execute the following arithmetic operation: 100 - value of output FB250 = reverse value example: Value of output FB250 = 99, then applies 100 - 99 = 1 Value of output FB250 = 10, then applies 100 -10 = 90
