See attachement for the error. In the step7 v5.5 scl compiler the same code compiles with no errors. ThanX PietR I have noticed several scl problems with V11/V12. Exactly what version V11 are you using? V11 SP2/Update 5? If not, maybe SP2 and update 5 will fix the problem. If you are already using the latest available, maybe you could post your interface and then any scl code that accesses the user defined ID / character string(s). The max char string is [254] if I recall correctly. The default is also [254].

In the attachement you'll find the code which gives the error. (open the zip and you'll see the source "code.scl". yy1 Gold Member Joined: 3/24/2009 Last visit: 6/20/2023 Posts: 535 Rating: (112)	Dear azu, the attribute 'NAME' of the block is limited to 8 characters. So "ES_CLAUS_MOTOR" is too long. There are some other compile-errors, because some global variables are missing, but in your environment it should be enough to change the name in FB29 -> Properties... -> Infotmation -> User-defined ID Hope this helps!
