SCL Pgm in S7300 Pgm and PCS7

Nil96 Posts: 325 Rating: (13)	Hi, I have a very small code written in SCL which has a input pin ( bool ) and output pin (real). Program inside this is, if input=1 then output=10.0 Apart from this there is an initialization code making use of OB100.. When this pgm is put in a PCS7 project, the output is all Ok. But when the same pgm is put in a PLC(313) project, it doesn't work properly. What I find is that output=10.0 whenever input=1, and when input=0 output also is becoming 0. This is not happening in case of the same pgm which is run under PCS7 project. I have used PLC SIM for simulation. Can some help me in fixing this out, so that SCL pgm runs good even in PLC project. Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (259)	I don't see any problems with code itself (maybe :=10.0 would be more precise, but still). But to say something for sure - upload whole code please (i mean code that doesn't work properly) - for example i couldn't understand what is HW_on_PB...

Nil96 Posts: 325 Rating: (13)	Hi, Find attached the zip file which has the SCL source code. I find a difference in operation of code when its run on S7-300 project. Have been using PLC SIM. Nil96 Posts: 325 Rating: (13)	Hi, Well.. I did a mistake. used to test FB by editing the DB and all the time I used to overwrite all the DB values using the button "download entire DB".. Anyway I still need a clarification. The same FB when inserted in CFC is been called by OB100 during intial CPU Startup. But if the FB when inserted in LAD of OB34 or OB35 is not been called by OB100 during inital CPU startup. Can some one let me know how to make it work.... Regards Nil

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (259)	Well, your code is quite straight, so i still don't see any problems. Try following - call FB with DB instance without assigning input. Then on modifying HW_on_PB variable INSIDE DB you can check output. If everything is ok (and i think it will be ok) - check your inputs. Upd. It should work both in OB35 and OB100. But as i said before - upload whole S7 project (otherwise it's hard to say something specific), if this doesn't violate your company's rules.

Regards Nil CFC editor/compiler uses the attribute S7_tasklist to include automatically the same DB/instance in other tasks ex OB100etc. LAD-STL does not use such attribute so you have to call FB with the matching DB/instance manually.
