corkscrew Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hii, I already have a pc with scout+WinCC installed. I wanna install also Starter 4.2to configure the drives individually. Is there any risk to distroy of my existing scout.? Off course, I will notrun both programs at the same time. I am hesitating to be force to reinstall the scout because of starter. thanks in advance

My OS is XP professional which I forgot to declare. Look there DenisMor ... Starter is a free package for configuring and commissioning Sinamics & MicroMaster drive families. Simotion Scout is a full software package for programming and configuration of Simotion (D, P & C) family of motion controllers with full automation and motion programming functionality. Simotion Scout has Starter build-in for drive configuration. Simotion Scout software integrates into Step7 Basic manager in order have PLCs (300, 400), HMIs, Simotion controllers and drives configured in programmed in one project. DrivesES Basic a package that integrates Starter functionality into Step7 Basic. One of the big advantages of Drives ES Basic is remote connectivity to drives from Step7 through the PLC, but it is not required to configure and commission drives. ... Our projects contain only standalone several drives without plc, sometimes with a 1200 plc, sometimes with scout projects. Therefore we need a standalone drive commissioning software independent of scout or micro/maxi() step7. Now I am dealing witha project with scout but I just wanna read some datas of the G120+CPU240S DPover the profibus network. Also I do not want to create an axis just to commissioning of this drive. I just need tocommission it and read some datas while it is runing without any control. But I can not commission it with my pc. My system containsC240 andI amconnected to all system with its ethernet port. Thats the situation. thanks

This SCOUT Version includes also the STARTER V4.2. Simultaneous operation of SIMOTION SCOUT and STARTER (standalone) as a single installation on one PC is not possible. You have to use seperate partitions. Regards Manfred

	I dont Like people driving Fast, thats the reason I overtake them ;)
