Created a new project in Scout V5.4 SP3

Added a single C240 v4.1 controller

Attempt to insert a HMI project using WinCC Flex. Run through the wizard and hit finish.

Error appears "The project contains objects of the software package SIMATIC WinCC Flexible which cannot be edited because the software package is not installed or exists in an earlier version".

If I click OK on the error dialog, the integrate process continues for a few seconds then fails with "The application has encountered a problem and needs to close".

This was a clean Windows 10 Virtual Machine onto which I installed only Scout V5.4 SP3 and WinCC Flex 2008 SP5 Upd2.

I can create a new project directly in WinCC Flex with no issue.

If I create a new project in Scout and attempt to insert a HMI before anything else, same error occurs.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Is it Scout Standalone? Or which version of Simatic Manager/Step7 do you have?

Just in case an integrity patch for Step7.
