I'm willing to learn to work with Simotion scout v4.4. in TIA v13. Is there a way to do this? A tutorial or sample project would be great. I have a virtual machine with starter but I would like to work in Scout. Thanks, Bruno

I would like to learn scout because in the printing industry I saw that they use quite a lot servomotors ans siemens scout. Thanks

The Drivetype DCM is not supported in TIA V13 / Scout TIA V4.4, so you must integrate this Drive with GSD/GSDML File and the commissioning is doing in STARTER. The DCM is no typical drive which interact with SIMOTION. In you case S7-300 PLC and Drive DCM is better to work with the STARTER because the S7-300 and the DCM are not supported in Scout TIA! I know GSD file to be integrated in hardware catalog. I there any example in using starter and dcm? Is it easy to migrate(learn) from starter in to scout?

GSD is for PROFIBUS and GSDML is for PROFINET. STARTER and SCOUT are the same if we read about Drive Commissioning. In SCOUT you can also configure and programming the SIMOTION Controlles, in Starter only Drives, GUI is simply the same.
