I am using TIA portal v16. The idea was to create text based on the event done in the HMI. I have created faceplate for motors and valves. Upon clicking on the block icon I would pass the name of the element (Eg. Fan1) to one internal tag. When I click any of the motor sub elements in the faceplate, I would pass the name of the event to another internal tag (Eg. Start button pressed) and would pass a value to one internal tag (Eg. Auto - 1, Mnual - 2, Start - 3, Stop - 4 etc). The first and the second internal tags are getting updated.

Besides this I created 2 VB scripts. In the first script based on the updation of the value in the 3rd internal tag, upon value change I trigger a VB script to concatenate both the strings and to enable a bool internal tag. Based on the value change of Bool tag I would trigger the 2nd script to reset the 3rd internal tag and make it 0.

Now the trouble is running the 2 VB scripts with the internal tags. I am unable to execute the scripts when the value change is detected in the internal tags. Leaving out my story, can you advise how to over come this situation. The project was originally developed in v14 and then migrated to v16. Why doesn't the VB script of the comfort panel run when it is called in a tag when its value is changed?

Solved the issue. Looks like internal tags would not trigger scripts in HMI. This was overcome by using PLC tags for triggering the VB scripts which worked out in my favour.
