Script 'Permission denied'

Hello evryone ,

Due to recent changes in our installation we want to have our log files on the C:\ drive of each PC and to copy this on certain moments .

I'm trying to do this whit a script and this is working for so far , but the problem is the file gets eachtime a difrent name and does not get overwritten so if we want to copy it each hour we would have 24 log files a day and this for each of our 40 machines in this department , just for saying it wil be a bit to much files .

So i was trying to delete the destination folder each time just before we copy the file so we only have 1 file in the folder each time .

To do this i have written a little script (first time )

The script <Copy_Logs>

 The only problem i have is when i try to do it i get the error

Fout 'Permission denied' in script <Copy_Logs> in regel 11

 Rule 11 is : fso.DeleteFolder(Path)

I have no idea why i would not have the permission i can delete the folder from on that PC and there are no further restrictions for managing folders .

I gues its something from the WINCC , but can someone help me to figure it out why its not working ?

First of all , thx to answer .

I never close the log , i'm trying to delete the folder where i copy my log to the actual logging isn't there . But i tried it and it was the same .

I know in which line the problems occurs (the fault in wincc says the line )

Hey ,

That was my first tought to but i can delete it on the normal way whitout problems .

Therefore to test it i made a folder on my USB stick so there are no special settings like on a network drive and the path is also to my USB .

So i'm 100% sure there is no handle in the folder .

Is there a fault code generated in wincc normaly ?

maybe you should set the security settings of Windows to the lowest level and then try to delete the directory from the Runtime.

No i get the fault when i'm running the project and i try to excecute the function

You get the "permission denied" when you want to delete a folder on the memory-stick from WinCC flexible Runtime. What about deleting a folder from "C:\"?

When you use set xxx = CreateObject(...) release it at the end of the code by set xxx = nothing.

Please add the following at the end of the code and send us the system alarm that appears when executing the script: ShowSystemAlarm "Debug: " & & CStr(Err.Number) & ", " & Err.Description & ", " & Err.Source
