SD card and working hours

Frayer Advanced Member Joined: 12/3/2018 Last visit: 10/18/2023 Posts: 75 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have a question about SD and working hours counter function bloc: - normally, if everything is OK, LOGO does not read the program from SD, but works from the memory, thus counting working hours. - if LOGO (after a failure) reads a program from SD card, then working hours (OT) will be reseted, correct? So if you want to set the correct working hours, you have to do it manually (if you know the previous number, of course) by entering a new value to "Start time for OT" and then download to LOGO again? This is the only way?

The memory for the program in the LOGO! is a flash memory. This means that the program is stored in a non-volatile manner. It remains until: - it is deleted. - it is changed.

The SD card was already introduced with the 0BA7 to enable the data log to be used over a longer period of time. Another reason is: You can create a program (or a program change) and then save it in a special format on the SD card. You send the SD card to your customer. He inserts the SD card into the LOGO !, starts the LOGO! and the new or changed program is transferred from the SD card to the LOGO! transfer. The customer then removes the SD card again. With LOGO! 8.2, the SD card is mandatory if you want to use the extended web server. The LWE project for the extended web server must be saved on the SD card.

Then i just ask them to reboot and accept the SD card version and all reboot as designed.

Then i just ask them to reboot and accept the SD card version and all reboot as designed. This only makes sense if (depending on the LOGO! Series) the program on the card is write-protected. Since LOGO! 8.1 with FS05, parameter changes are saved on an existing SD card during runtime. Sales and Delivery Release for LOGO! 8 BM FS05 and LOGO! Soft Comfort V8.1.1 (SP1)

I love this forum where i learn every day some thing new.
